We are a boxing club based in Ratoath which is hugely successful with multiple Irish and Leinster champions and which attracts males and females of all ages to join our club. We have dedicated volunteers running the club from coaches to admin staff all focused on getting the best out of each and every boxer who becomes a member of our club.
Reasons to support this group
We need to optimize the potential of our boxers. Some of our boxers have won All Ireland’s and have the potential to win on the international stage. Only by being able to furnish them with additional and improved resources can we make this dream come through. We have had unparalleled success in 5 years since our club was founded and without continued funding the danger is that this success could ground to a halt.
We are a growing club and need to expand to a permanent home with a larger training area to attract greater numbers. A modern highly advanced spacious gym with 2 boxing rings will attract a greater number of recruits.
The above should also benefit the club in terms of competition internally with greater numbers competing but also by attracting other clubs from elsewhere to come and compete against us.
Our club, by being given funding to continue to thrive will have societal benefits in terms of attracting more young people to spend their time training and competing rather than engaging in anti-social behaviour. We already see kids being transformed by focusing on sport than being idle on the streets.
A club in Ratoath with the potential to nurture international stars of the future is surely a club worth funding with added consequential benefits for the entire parish in terms of prestige and pride.
