Maigh Cuilinn Camogie Club provides camogie coaching and games for girls aged 5-18. There are five age groups all trained by qualified coaches. The club promotes involvement regardless of ability and places a strong focus on inclusion. The benefits of
being involved in team based activity not only help with physical development but also help each child develop core skills of friendship building and learning to work as part of a team. The Club won its first ever county title in 2017.
Reasons to support this group
We are a vibrant dynamic club with dedicated coaches and officials who are genuinely committed to inclusion of girls in sport and physical activity.
Retaining girls in team sport is critical to their continued involvement in physical activity. We want to continue to develop our sport by attracting new players and continue the development of our club at juvenile and adult level. Our aim is to field an adult team by 2020. Any funds raised would go towards provision of vital resources, specific strength and condition training, education on nutrition and wellbeing and sports psychology.
We provide a valuable social and sporting outlet in the community.
There is a strong involvement from parents and supporters to continue to grow and develop the club.
